Alright, celeb gossip fiends, gather 'round because Ne-Yo is once again making waves with his polyamorous lifestyle! The "So Sick" singer recently sat down on the Sorry We’re Cyrus podcast and dropped some serious gems about his relationship with his three girlfriends. And trust us, it's a lot to unpack.

Ne-Yo, who celebrated his three-year anniversary with his trio of partners over the weekend, dished on what it's really like to be in a polyamorous dynamic. According to the R&B crooner, juggling three partners isn't the chaotic mess you might imagine. In fact, he claims it’s "not as difficult as you would think." Bold statement, Ne-Yo!

For those keeping score, his current loves are Cristina, Arielle, and Moneii. And apparently, they're all one big happy family. "We are a family. We love each other, and it's a beautiful thing, man. It genuinely is," he gushed on the podcast. A family of four, you say? Interesting.

The Secret Sauce to Sharing Your Man

Now, before you go thinking this is some free-for-all, Ne-Yo clarified that it takes a very specific mindset from his lady loves. He explained that his girlfriends need to understand and accept that there will be times when they want his attention, but simply won’t be able to get it because he’s with someone else. Yikes! That sounds like a tough pill to swallow for some, but apparently, it works for this foursome.

He broke it down, explaining, "It definitely takes a mindset to say, ‘Okay, we are sharing this one person, which means that there will at some point come a time where I want attention and I'm not going to be able to get it.’ You have to accept that. You have to be okay with that. Understand that that's the reality."

He continued, adding, "And once you lock into that and go, ‘All right, so my time is my time. Our time is our time.’ And I have to make sure that I'm paying attention to both. It's about us, but it's also about them, and it's just three different women, three different personalities." Sounds like a full-time job managing those emotional investments, but Ne-Yo calls it a "labor of love." We're not arguing with his hustle!

Beyond the Bedroom: It's About Community, Folks!

And for all you cynics out there thinking this is just about sex (we see you!), Ne-Yo was quick to clap back. He firmly stated, "People hear it…and they instantly go to sex. Sex is one very small [part] of a much larger pot." So what's the bigger picture? He says it's all about "community above anything else. It's everybody working together towards one goal. It's a real thing."

This isn't just some fleeting fling either. Ne-Yo revealed he's known Cristina, Arielle, and Moneii for quite some time, but their "collective" relationship kicked off about three years ago.

Over the weekend, he even took to Instagram to commemorate their anniversary, practically gushing with adoration for his trio. "Most can only dream of a love like this. Most can only imagine what it feels like to wake up smiling every morning, walking into whatever the day may bring loving life, knowing your team is strong and the love is real. To most it can only be a fantasy. BUT IT’S OUR REALITY. And I recognize you all as the blessings you are," he posted. Talk about a public display of affection!

From Monogamy to Multiple: Ne-Yo's Journey

This polyamorous chapter for Ne-Yo kicked off after his 2023 divorce from Crystal Renay, with whom he shares three children. He also has two kids with Monyetta Shaw-Carter and two more with Sade Jenea Bagnerise. So, it seems like Ne-Yo has always had his hands full, emotionally speaking!

He's been pretty open about his non-traditional approach to love since his divorce, even telling folks he's in "one relationship with three people." And while some might raise an eyebrow, Ne-Yo seems to be thriving in his unique setup. He's previously addressed critics, basically telling them to mind their own business and that he's "just living [his] life."

So, there you have it. Ne-Yo (and his three girlfriends) are proving that love comes in all shapes and sizes, and apparently, it's "not as difficult as you would think." We'll just be over here sipping our tea and watching to see what happens next in this fascinating love story!
