San Francisco dating just leveled up from LinkedIn-core to family HR, buttercups.

Brooke LeBlanc — a Corgi tech exec who went viral asking X, “Who wants to cofound the rest of my life with me?” — already dropped a whole spreadsheet of dating non-negotiables. Now she’s added a footnote that might be the final boss: Mom’s approval.

“You will now also have to get my mom’s approval as she’s reading replies and sending me ‘which ones are cute,’” LeBlanc wrote, alongside a text from her mom already scouting the replies. Mom’s verdict on at least one guy (network-security consultant / founder David Stehle, per the post): smart, funny, cute — even while joking her Twitter got hacked and the “post economic” banter was rolling through her feed.

The original checklist is a vibe check with footnotes. Ages 35–42. “Healthy masculine.” Smart, funny, lighthearted. Provider/protector energy. “Post economic (still hardworking).” Kind, generous, thoughtful. No kids yet but “decidedly” wants them. “On the healing path” — therapy, books, retreats, the works. Same city only (you can meet anywhere; you can’t long-distance date). Fit and sober. Strongly preferred: no previous marriages/engagements, and preferably tech — risk-comfortable, career blended into personal life.

The timeline did what the timeline does: SF singles mourning in the replies, “is this AI?” jokes, men in their feelings, women pointing out ambitious guys run checklists all the time without the pile-on.

Buttercups: if you can clear “post economic,” the healing path, AND Mom’s cute-radar… congratulations, you’ve basically passed Series A.
