The lone holdout in the Lindsay Clancy trial just put a face — and a newborn — on the chaos that followed the hung jury.

Michael Desronvil, 48, was the only juror who refused to join the other 11 in finding Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity in the Massachusetts case that gripped the country. That 11–1 deadlock forced a mistrial after roughly six weeks of televised trial and seven days of deliberation in Plymouth.

Clancy, 36, admitted killing her three young children. Her defense argued severe postpartum psychosis; prosecutors said she waited until her husband left, then acted with planning and should be held criminally responsible. Desronvil says he “didn’t have any doubts” about guilt based on the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented — that she knew what she was doing and planned it. He’s described fellow jurors as mostly leftist “activists” who, in his view, decided early to acquit, and said he kept getting cut off when he tried to walk through theories in deliberation.

After his identity became public, the blowback got ugly. His attorney, Edward Paltzik, said Desronvil faced death threats, doxxing, and harassment, and had to leave home for a secure location in rural New England. Local TV dug into his past. He also believes race and politics (he’s described as a Black Republican) played into the targeting.

Sunday, previously unseen photos of Desronvil smiling with his infant daughter — one from the day she was born — were shared with the New York Post via his lawyers. Meanwhile a GiveSendGo organized to help with security, legal fees, and lost work topped $350,000 (reports put it north of $360K by Sunday evening) after his Friday statement juiced donations.

Next hearing is on the calendar for Sept. 29. The fundraiser number is the loudest public signal right now: one juror held the line, the internet did what the internet does, and the tab for staying alive and lawyered-up just cleared six figures in days.
